Privacy Policy
Maia is designed to connect directly to the social services you choose. We collect as little information as possible and do not operate a central copy of your social activity.
1. Data collection
Maia is a third-party client for multiple social platforms. Your posts, profiles, timelines, direct messages, and other social content are retrieved directly from the services you connect. Maia does not store or proxy that content through its own servers.
2. Authentication
Authentication credentials and access tokens are stored securely on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. Maia does not have access to your passwords.
3. Diagnostics and crash reporting
Maia uses privacy-conscious diagnostic and crash-reporting tools, including Sentry, to improve reliability and performance. Diagnostic data may include the app version, operating system version, device model, crash details, and technical performance information.
Diagnostic data is not intended to include account handles, passwords, authentication tokens, direct messages, or the content of your posts.
4. In-app feedback
When you choose to submit feedback from within Maia, the information you enter is sent together with limited technical diagnostics such as the app version, operating system version, device model, selected feedback category, and affected area.
Feedback submissions do not automatically include usernames, account identifiers, post content, timeline history, passwords, access tokens, or service credentials. Information you voluntarily include in the feedback message will be transmitted as written.
5. Third-party services
Maia connects to third-party services such as Bluesky, Mastodon, Tumblr, Lemmy, and LinkedIn. Your use of those services remains subject to their own privacy policies and terms. Maia is not responsible for how those external services process your data.
6. Data retention
Maia does not maintain a central archive of your social content. Anonymous diagnostics and feedback may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate issues, improve the app, and maintain service quality.
7. Children's privacy
Maia is not directed at children below the minimum age required by the third-party services they use. Maia does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in Maia, legal requirements, or connected services. The latest version will always be available on this page.
