Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Maia. By downloading or using Maia, you agree to them.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Maia, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2. Description of the service
Maia is an independent third-party client that allows you to connect to supported social platforms. Maia is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Bluesky, Mastodon, Tumblr, Lemmy, LinkedIn, or their respective operators.
3. Third-party services and community guidelines
Your use of connected platforms remains subject to their own terms, policies, community guidelines, moderation rules, and availability. You are responsible for complying with the rules of every service and server you use through Maia.
Maia is not responsible for content you view, publish, receive, or interact with on third-party services.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Maia to violate applicable law or the rights of others;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Maia, connected services, or other users' accounts;
- interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse Maia or its supporting services;
- use Maia in a way that violates the terms or community rules of a connected platform.
5. Availability and changes
Maia depends on third-party APIs and services that may change, become unavailable, or impose limitations without notice. Features may be modified, suspended, or removed when necessary for technical, legal, security, or product reasons.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
Where Maia offers paid features or subscriptions, purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's applicable payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
Maia is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that Maia will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every third-party service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer of Maia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use Maia, including loss of data, loss of access to a third-party service, or loss of content.
9. Termination
You may stop using Maia at any time. Access to particular features may be limited or terminated if required to protect users, comply with law, address misuse, or maintain the security and integrity of the application.
10. Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Maia after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
